Frontline NHS doctor has an important coronavirus message for young people

Cheshire Live, 4th December – The Directors of Public Health in Cheshire and Merseyside launched the ‘Spread the facts – not the virus’ campaign on Monday to ensure that everyone, particularly younger people, know the facts about what they can do to help beat COVID-19. The six-week initiative is a collaboration between the NHS and local councils in Cheshire and Merseyside and aims to use the channels young people engage with to make facts clear.

Design award for Clatterbridge Cancer Centre – Liverpool

Wirral Globe, 4th December – The new Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool continues to win awards for its design and construction. It beat a high-calibre of competition from projects across the North West to win Project of the Year in the North West Regional Construction Awards. It was built on a constrained site in the heart of Liverpool’s new Knowledge Quarter, adjacent to Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

Cheshire and Merseyside could share NHS commissioning group

Knutsford Guardian, 3rd December – Cheshire and Merseyside could soon have one clinical commissioning group (CCG) to provide NHS services in the region — despite four Cheshire CCGs merging just eight months ago. The move could form part of the government’s push to ‘streamline commissioning arrangements’, even though the county welcomed a new body in April 2020.
