Why are you passionate about health and care across Cheshire and Merseyside?

Cheshire and Merseyside is a diverse patch and we have fantastic health care facilities across primary care, community and mental health that I am extremely proud of.

Our local authorities are forward thinking and collaborate well with each other and with health partners to innovate and make the limited resources we have go far for the people that we serve. There is a sense of pride and achievement across the patch but with an understanding that there is still much that can be done to improve our collective offer for the 2.5 million who call Cheshire and Merseyside home.

What do you do to improve your health and mental wellbeing on a day-to-day basis?

I have a good circle of friends and a loving family who keep me going. I enjoy regular long walks through the local parks and open spaces and have recently found some real hidden gems around Warrington. I have found that being honest with myself about what is achievable is valuable.
