Why are you passionate about health and care across Cheshire and Merseyside?

Across our communities, there are differences in the levels of ill health and wellbeing, often linked to big differences in other aspects of the quality of life of our population, for example housing, employment, education and manifesting themselves as Inequalities that negatively impact upon people’s lives.

As Partners, we want children and young people to get the best start in life and be ready for school; we want people to live well and independently for longer, and we want older people to be able to maintain their independence for as long as possible, through more dementia friendly communities and active ageing initiatives, as well as by reducing social isolation. We also want to encourage people to take responsibility for looking after themselves, their families and neighbours and to enable more care to be delivered in the community.

What do you do to improve your health and mental wellbeing on a day-to-day basis?

I love spending time with my family and friends whenever possible and my two cockerpoo dogs tend to keep me on my toes on a day-to-day basis. I also enjoy playing squash in my spare time.
