Everton striker and Brazilian international Richarlison has lent his support for the Covid-19 vaccine programme in Cheshire and Merseyside.
The 2020 Olympic gold medallist recently shared a picture of him being vaccinated [below] and took to social media to encourage young people to keep coming forward for the vaccine.
The 32 times capped international spoke of his delight at the return of fans to stadiums, but feels it is particularly important that people are double jabbed when attending such events.
Asked by the Partnership’s monthly magazine, Connect, about the importance of getting the jab, and his reasons for sharing the image, Richarlison said: “It’s important, isn’t it? Particularly now.
“We were delighted with the return of fans to the stadiums. We always want to do good. In Brazil, a lot of people were missing their second dose.
“I think it was important to share the photo to encourage people to have the vaccine, so the world can get back to normal. I hope I’ve encouraged lots of people to go to get their second dose.”
