The Partnership is delighted to announce that Keith Griffiths has been appointed as Director of Finance. Keith will be responsible for improving financial governance, enhancing financial performance and ensuring investment has an improved evidence base.
Keith is Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) qualified, he is currently Director of Finance at University Hospitals of Morecombe Bay and is Finance lead for the Bay Health and Care Partnership.
Keith’s career has been predominantly spent in acute NHS providers, starting in St Helens and Knowsley, he has since held Finance Director positions at the Walton Centre Liverpool and East Cheshire Hospitals, before Moving to Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire.
Keith has also held the position of Director of Sustainability for the Pennine Lancashire Health and care system, before moving to his current role across Morecombe Bay.
Speaking about his appointment, Keith said:
“After working for many years in the Lancashire and South Cumbria system, I am thrilled to return to Cheshire and Merseyside during what I believe to be an exciting and pivotal time.
“Throughout my career I have been committed to reducing health inequalities and improving outcomes for local communities and I firmly believe that this can only be achieved with effective collaboration across health and care services.
“We have a significant amount of work to do between now and April next year, as we transition from a Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) to an Integrated Care System (ICS), but I am confident that the passion, energy and determination we have in Cheshire and Merseyside will get us there.”
